Although EuroVPS keep very tight security on all of our products — servers, routers, network, SANs, etc — we cannot control the coding of your sites and applications.
And 99% of all hacks are attacks against your code. So we cannot make any guarantees that you will never be hacked, as it is outside our control. We do everything possible to prevent malicious traffic from harming our network and our clients. Still, sometimes luck doesn’t work in your favour. Worldwide, on average, more than 30,000 websites are hacked every day.
If your websites is hacked, we will help you remove the hack.
First, we will run the Maldet malware scanner, to attempt to locate the hacked files. Maldet is often very effective, and we are usually able to completely clean the server for you. We also have other tools at our disposal, as needed.
There are cases where the exploit is at the root level, or the hack is so deep that there is no way to clean the server without an extensive amount of work. In these situations we can continue to help you on a best-effort basis.
We can also restore you to the latest viable backup, from before the hack happened.
